Webinar: ITIL 4 is the Future of Service Management
Have you heard? ITIL 4 is coming.

AXELOS has announced a new scheme for ITIL, the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. The new certification scheme, called ITIL 4, will take effect in early 2019. ITIL 4 is the next iteration that incorporates all the best things from ITIL v3, as it is known today, and expands IT and service operations to a new level.

We’re working closely with AXELOS and PeopleCert to provide you with the most up-to-date information and will have accredited ITIL 4 Foundation training materials available on the same date that the exam is made available.

How is ITIL 4 different from ITIL v3?

ITIL 4 is the next iteration that incorporates all the best things from ITIL v3 and expands IT and service operations to a new level. The new ITIL scheme will provide a practical and flexible basis to support organizations on their journey into the new world of digital transformation by helping them align their human, digital, and physical resources to compete within the modern complex landscape and adopt these emerging technologies into their IT operations.

ITIL 4 will be much more relevant to developers, practitioners, and businesses by promoting a holistic view of delivering products and services. Moving from traditional process-led delivery, ITIL 4 supports faster quality and value driven delivery for people and organizations.

About the Transition

We recognize the need for a smooth transition from ITIL v3 to ITIL 4 to ensure that your investment in ITIL continues to drive and enhance your business’ performance. Therefore, you can feel reassured that ITIL 4 has been developed to be compatible with the existing certification scheme. Further, all current certifications for ITIL will remain valid following the update, and all credits gained can help a student continue their ITIL journey in the new certification scheme. We expect there to be a significant transition period when both ITIL v3 and ITIL 4 are available.
