In celebration of the release of the proposed CMMC rule, we are offering a complimentary lesson from our CMMC for Business Professionals course, Lesson 1: Identifying What’s at Stake.

On December 26, 2023, the United States Department of Defense (#DoD) issued its long-awaited proposed rule to implement the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (#CMMC) Program (Proposed Rule). CMMC is designed to assess a defense contractor’s compliance with #cybersecurity requirements that are already in their contracts.

One new aspect of the proposed rule may quadruple the number of companies who need Assessments, which will also increase the market for training for both employees of companies seeking Assessment and future assessors. Namely, the proposed rule now also extends the need for certification Assessments to the Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) that 80% of small and medium businesses use for their #IT infrastructure and end-user support.

We all know it is crucial to safeguard sensitive information, especially in today’s ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape. But what exactly does that mean if you have a contract with the DoD or support a company that has a contract with the DoD, and how can you be sure you’re doing it in compliance with new CMMC regulations?

Logical Operations’ one-day, CMMC training program: CMMC for Business Professionals is designed to get your organization up to speed on what is necessary to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for members of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and the MSPs that support them.

As part of our celebration of the proposed rule and helping everybody in “Identifying What’s at Stake,” we are proudly offering the first lesson of our CMMC for Business Professionals course as a self-paced eLearning opportunity.

This lesson has also been added to the CMMC for Business Professionals course as a new tile for new and existing students to complement their learning journey in helping to secure the supply chain.

During the one-day course, participants gain valuable insights into the regulations, the CMMC Model, Assessment processes, how to prepare for an Assessment, and available resources for assistance. By completing the program, all participants will earn a prestigious “CMMC Trailblazer” badge, so they can proudly showcase their commitment to CMMC and promote the importance of compliance.

All participants receive a "CMMC Trailblazer" badge

Now is the opportune moment to offer CMMC training to your clients. Reach out to Tuuli Eaton (tuuli.eaton@logicaloperations.com) to kickstart your journey into the future of #cybersecurityeducation.

At Logical Operations, we're excited to share the latest addition to our comprehensive #CMMC training curriculum – CMMC: Organizational Practices. This new course builds on the success of our previous releases, including CMMC for Business Professionals and CMMC: Organizational Foundations, and represents the next step in making CMMC education accessible to all.

About CMMC:

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a rapidly growing field in cybersecurity training. The demand for CMMC training is surging, as the United States Department of Defense (DoD) recently released the proposed CMMC program rule that will mandate CMMC certification for contractors bidding on contracts. The DoD estimates that over 300,000 companies and organizations may need to undergo a CMMC Assessment, highlighting the significance of this certification.

Why CMMC: Organization Practices?

For those seeking CMMC knowledge without pursuing Assessor certification, we proudly introduce the CMMC: Organizational Practices course. This 5-day program guides attendees through the CMMC Assessment Process, validating cybersecurity practices across the 14 domains derived from NIST SP 800-171.

What sets this course apart is its flexibility. It comes with marketing assets and is customizable using our CustomCHOICE tool, allowing you to brand the course and create tailored training events by leveraging a subset of available content. You can also supplement it with lessons from other relevant Logical Operations and CertNexus titles, such as CyberSAFE, CyberSec First Responder®, and Cyber Secure Coder, enhancing your customers' preparedness for CMMC Assessments.
