Klein Steel, the Upstate New York region’s premier steel service center, recently demonstrated their commitment to upholding safe IT security practices to ensure that their organizational and customer data is protected. As part of their dedication to this initiative, Klein Steel partnered with the New Horizons division of Logical Operations to provide end-user security training to their employees.
Klein Steel’s employees participated in a 90-minute end-user cybersecurity training course, CyberSAFE, which was delivered onsite by New Horizons at Logical Operations. By taking a proactive approach to training their employees on secure IT practices, Klein Steel is solidifying their status as a leader among organizations in terms of proactively securing their information assets. The recently launched CyberSAFE training program from Logical Operations enables employees at any organization to identify many of the common security risks involved in using conventional end-user technology, as well as how to use this technology safely to protect themselves and their organizations from security risks.
“With the recent cyberattack on a German steel mill, it’s clear that the challenges posed by external threats are on the rise. We understand that training and certification of key team members is an essential component in addressing mounting security issues and protecting critical assets, not only for Klein Steel, but also for our customers and partners,” states Todd Zyra, President.
Klein Steel IT Manager Andy Yu adds, “This is an important step for Klein Steel as we proactively attempt to mitigate the risks associated with a potential breach and develop strategies to manage cybersecurity vulnerabilities.”
