Logical Operations Partners With Oracle University To Enable Higher Education To Offer Oracle Training Under The Workforce Development Program (WDP)
May 22, 2017 Rochester, N.Y.

Logical Operations announced today a new collaboration with Oracle that will enable higher educational training providers, academic institutions, and workforce development centers to participate in the Oracle Workforce Development Program (WDP) and to offer their students career-ready Oracle training and certification.

Over 95% of the Global Fortune 500 companies use Oracle software and these companies are in need of the next generation of skilled technologists who can implement, develop, and administer critical on-premises and cloud-based applications and systems. The Oracle Workforce Development Program is a unique opportunity for institutions seeking to offer in-demand Oracle training and helps to reach students who are preparing to meet the continued global information technology (IT) worker shortage. Participation in this program prepares young adult students for the valuable credential of an Oracle Certification, a variety of entry-level Oracle job-roles, as well as career advancement opportunities.

As part of this new collaboration, Logical Operations will offer its authorized partners, official Oracle training curriculum covering Oracle Cloud technologies, Oracle Database, Java SE 8 Programming, and more. The WDP curriculum will be available for in-person classes, virtual classes and through Cloud Student Learning Subscriptions. These offerings provide students access to a leading-edge digital learning experience with lab exercises specifically designed to help students acquire the real-world knowledge, skills, and credentials that are in high demand in the IT industry.

“When presented the opportunity to work with Oracle, we did not only see the ability to collaborate with a leader in software and development systems with well-known technologies like Java and Oracle Database. We also saw the opportunity to team with one of the emerging leaders in cloud technologies who is committed to develop the skills and knowledge within individuals who can then improve their own employment opportunities,” said Jeff Felice, EVP Partners & Alliances at Logical Operations. “We are very pleased to assist our partners in accessing Oracle’s Workforce Development Program’s modern content solutions to deliver rich learning experiences to our next generation of technology professionals.”

“As an important collaborator in the Workforce Development Program, we are excited for Logical Operations to enable eligible training providers and their thousands of students in the United States the most professional, up-to-date and relevant Oracle training available anywhere,” said Tapas Roy, Vice President, Oracle Workforce Development Program.
