By taking an approach where an understanding of the anatomy of an attack is developed, CyberSec First Responder (CFR) equips individuals with the high-stakes skills needed to serve their organizations before, during, and after a breach.
A CyberSec First Responder is the first line of defense against cyber-attacks that can cost an organization valuable time and money. The CyberSec First Responder program will prepare security professionals to become the first responders who defend against cyber-attacks by teaching students to analyze threats, design secure computing and network environments, proactively defend networks, and respond/investigate cybersecurity incidents.
Reminder: The CFR-110 exam will be formally retired on March 31, 2017, replaced by the CFR-210 exam. All CFR-110 candidates must purchase, schedule, and sit their exams on or before March 31, 2017.
For training organizations offering CFR classes with the aid of Logical Operations curriculum and labs, CFR-110 curriculum and labs will be removed from the store on March 31, 2017. All training organizations should begin preparing to deliver CFR-210 after March 31, 2017.
To defend against constant threats, cybersecurity professionals require a well-rounded understanding of the tools, processes, and strategies employed when protecting an information system. CFR moves beyond topic-specific training, developing the skills needed to protect information systems before, during, and after an attack.
What better way to stop hackers than by preventing them from getting in to begin with? Through the development of penetration testing skills, CFR enables cybersecurity professionals to identify vulnerabilities before they can be leveraged by attackers. Enabling you to take a proactive approach to network security prevents attacks before they happen.
Our enemy is unknown, dangerous, and adaptive. The ability to detect and mitigate threats quickly is critical to minimizing the high-risk cost of a cyber-attack. CFR utilizes an immersive, hands-on environment to develop the skills and knowledge needed to cut the lag time between when a breach occurs and when it is detected.
Ideal for those with 2+ years of experience in IT or information security, CFR prepares cybersecurity professionals for performing numerous tasks within an organization. From developing secure networks to identifying breaches in real time, CFR equips professionals with the skills they need to keep the hackers out.
CFR will develop the skills professionals need in the real world. Delivered over five days, CFR utilizes an immersive lab environment, hands-on activities, and a digital learning platform with curriculum-rich content to ensure every student is equipped with the skills necessary to immediately strengthen their organizations' cybersecurity defenses.
Backed by security experts, the CFR certification is designed for cybersecurity practitioners who perform job functions related to defending information systems. The 120-minute exam validates the skills and knowledge needed to detect and respond to an attack.
The CyberSec First Responder certification is the result of a collaborative effort between Logical Operations and leading industry experts. Logical Operations would like to recognize and thank the many security professionals who helped make CFR possible. These workshop participants include:
- Dr. Timothy Summers, CEO, Summers & Company
- Erdal Ozkaya, Cybersecurity Architect, Microsoft
- Tyler Wrightson, Founder, Leet Systems
WHY CERTIFY? Studies indicate 84% of employers rely on certifications to improve the reliability and efficiency of their information security teams. Delivered in partnership with PearsonVUE, the Certified CyberSec First Responder exam does just that. Those who pass the 100 question exam will demonstrate that they have what it takes to combat a growing cyber threat.
Receive CompTIA CEU and GIAC CPE Credits!
CFR-210 instructor-led training courses have been officially approved for CompTIA CEU credits (1 credit per training hour) on the A+, Network+, Security+, and CASP certifications (credit for the CFR-210 exam is still pending). Additionally, CompTIA CEU and GIAC CPE participants can use CFR training courses and exams to apply for additional credit with either CompTIA or GIAC.
CyberSec First Responder candidates who pass their CFR exam (either CFR-110 or CFR-210) will receive a FREE ISSA membership (valued at $95) and pre-paid ISSA chapter dues for one year (valued at up to $80 depending on location)!
